Stepping Out offers a ten week dance program to Primary Schools, which is aligned with the PDHPE and Creative Arts Syllabus. 

The program typically involves two instructors spending all or the part of one school day per week at your school, for the duration of one term. Each visit we would teach the whole school from Kindergarten to Year Six over several sessions, catering to your schools timetable and other commitments.

Over the duration of the term, your students will learn a huge variety of dances, ranging from partner dances such as salsa, to Hip Hop and full scale, whole school performances. Your students will also take part in many activities which promote social etiquette, improvisation and of course are a lot of fun!

Your classroom teachers will be provided the opportunity and resources to assess their students in accordance with the PDHPE and Creative Arts Syllabus.

Get your community involved with your own End-of-Term Extravaganza! Your students will have something to aim for throughout their lessons as we offer each school the opportunity to hold a large, whole school performance for parents and the community. This can be held during school hours, or to make things really special, can be run as an evening performance and all the students wear their best outfits for a truly spectacular event.

These are lots of fun and we encourage everyone, including the parents, to get up and dance.
